Rowan Court

Rowan Court, Ambleside is a development of 18 one-bed roomed flats,  providing sheltered accommodation and on-site care services for those residents who need extra care to maintain their independence and remain in their own home.

The recent refurbishment of the scheme has been designed with mobility and independence in mind.   All flats are self contained, having their own front doors and are let on an Assured Tenancy.  The scheme recognises the need for privacy for residents, but also provides the opportunity to participate in social activities, offering a sustained and improved quality of life.

Communal Facilities

Rowan Court has communal facilities for the use of residents including a lounge and additional kitchen and bathroom facilities, a lift and laundry facilities.

There is also a guest room to enable resident’s visitors to stay.  The scheme welcomes local community groups to use the lounge and meeting facilities.

Staff and Assistance

There is a scheme manager who provides support at the scheme and Mobile Scheme Managers who provide emergency standby cover in the manager’s absence.  The scheme benefits from an emergency alarm system, providing assistance 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Additional Services

Included in the rental charges for Rowan Court are a number of additional services, such as window cleaning, garden        maintenance, heating to the flats along with other items.

Extra Help

In addition to the support provided by Impact as Landlord, there is a Care Team based on site, who can provide additional care to a number of residents.  This care is flexible and is tailored to meet individual requirements.  To qualify for extra care services an assessment must be made by Social Services.

Jenkins Crag Court

Jenkins Crag Court now open! We have recently completed our first new build sheltered and extra care housing scheme in Kendal.  Jenkins Crag Court (just off Rydal Road on Sandylands estate) provides 4 two-bedroom bungalows and 33 one-bedroom flats. 

The scheme offers housing and support for anyone over 55 years.  For tenants who have been assessed as needing help with personal care, a 24-hour care team is also based on site.   This means that should a tenant’s health needs change, care services can be delivered at home, rather than a move to residential care.   There is a range of housing and social support services provided by Impact to help people remain independent and active.  

All properties are self-contained and are let on an Assured Tenancy.  The properties are low maintenance, with things like heating costs and garden maintenance being included in the rent.
