WHO PAY'S FOR SUPPORTED HOUSING

Supported Housing is currently funded under the Supporting People regime. Supporting people is a national government programme introduced across the country in April 2003. Supporting People pay support monies directly to your support provider in the form of a block grant to allow them to deliver housing related support to you.

SUPPORTING PEOPLE MISSION STATEMENT

The supporting people programme offers vulnerable people the opportunity to improve their quality of life by providing a stable environment, which enables greater independence.

It will deliver high quality and strategically planned housing related services which are cost effective and reliable and which complement existing care services.

The planning and development of services will be needs led.

Supporting People is a working partnership of local government, service users, their carers and advocates and support agencies.
