A NEW APPROACH TO VOLUNTEERING
Impact Is keen to utilise our staff resources to support our customers to engage in 'Volunteering with us. Volunteering can be a perfect opportunity for you to:-
- Get some real work experience to increase your employability
- To increase your skills and knowledge
- Try something new
- make some new friends
- Get out of the house
- Become more confident
HAVE FUN!
We have a number of different kinds of volunteering opportunities to suit your needs and availability.
- Takeover Day
This is for young people aged 13-18 years of age it is about aspiration, inspiration and ambition. Young people will have the opportunity to work across our sites in a variety of different roles. It is not work experience and we would expect young people to get involved in some decision making and staff will tell them about their personal career path. This day will take place annually in October/November time.
- Taster Days
Similar to Takeover Day but this happen all year round andis opento all ages. Come into Impact, work with a member of staff and find out about different careers. An ideal opportunity to see different jobs.

- Short Term Experience
This can take two forms, you might volunteer for a concentrated piece of time to deliver a specific activity or you might want to give a regular amount of time over a short period.

- Longer term experience
These can be open ended placements where volunteers will carry out a regular role in a particular team.
