Repairs, Services & Stock Investment Programme

Stock Investment Update November 2020 

Following a review of the latest government guidance we are continuing with our Stock Investment Programme but there may be some delays so please bear with us. We are contacting customers due for improvement work to explain what happens next and how the works can be carried out safely, and in line with government recommendations, any customers affected by the restrictions will be contacted directly.

However, customers can choose to delay work if someone in their household is self-isolating, shielding, working from home or home-schooling and the work will be completed at a later date.

Grounds Maintenance

Our Grounds Maintenance service is currently fully operational. Our service might be slightly slower due to social distancing and working individually in some cases. We are following Public Health England (PHE) guidelines with regards to social distancing and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Please ensure you have regard to social distancing measures should you see the grounds maintenance team on site.

Empty Property Works

We are continuing works on our empty homes as usual. However, these works may take longer due too certain safety procedures in place.

Routine Repairs

We are continuing to complete both emergency and routine repairs in line with Government guidance. Our contractors have risk assessments in place to ensure our customers and contractors remain safe at all times. We are asking that as a precaution you wear a face mask when allowing our contractor in and showing them to the repair and then move into another room. In some cases, our routine repairs may take longer than usual to be completed, but we will communicate any delays with you. We understand that this may be frustrating but we ask that you bear with us. If you do not want the repair completed at this time, we will update our system to reflect this and we will contact you again to complete the repair at a future date.

When completing the repair, we may:

  • Ask some further questions at the front door before entering the property
  • Be wearing a mask and ask you to wear a mask or face covering
  • Distance ourselves by at least two meters from anyone in your property and ask you to move into a different room where possible
  • Avoid touching surfaces if possible
  • Ask you to disinfect door handles and the work area prior to the contractor attending
  • Wear protective gloves and other additional Personal Protective Equipment where necessary


Please ensure you inform us if you or anyone in your household are showing symptoms or have a confirmed case of Covid-19.

It is advisable that you follow sensible precautions to keep yourself safe when our staff or contractors are visiting your property, as outlined in Public Health England (PHE) guidance which can be found here and you can be assured that we are taking the necessary precautions.
