 Property Services

  Property Services looks after the new developments undertaken by the Association (either new build or refurbishment) together with the planned maintenance and survey inspections for the whole Association.

Developments on Site:-

Eden Foyer

This scheme in Penrith involves the conversion of the Old Cinema into 15 self-contained flats for young people and various non-residential features including a café, workshop/activity space, a creche, IT suite and offices.

Salterbeck Refurbishments

Phase 4 of the 5 year programme of refurbishment work to the houses transferred from Allerdale Borough Council has now commenced.  Phase 3 completed in May 2002.

Recently Completed:-

Old Fire Station, Kendal

This scheme involved the conversion of the Old Fire Station in Kendal into 8 one bedroomed flats for young single people.

Penrith Substance Misuse

Managed by Turning Point, this scheme provides 6 units of en-suite accommodation with associated communal facilities.

In the Pipeline:-

Allerdale Substance Misuse

Due to start very shortly is this scheme to provide a 6 bed shared property in Workington.

Fisher Street

Our old Head Office in Fisher Street, Workington is due to be transformed into 6 one bedroomed flats for vulnerable young people.

 

Salterbeck Disabled Persons Bungalow

A specially designed 3 bed bungalow on the Salterbeck in Workington.

Lambert Building

This building stands next to our recently completed scheme at the Old Fire Station in Kendal and will provide a further 6 one bedroomed flats for the young people of Kendal.

Ulverston Substance Misuse

Along the same lines as the Allerdale substance misuse scheme this scheme will provide 6 units of shared accommodation in Ulverston.

Agency development and consultancy services to other organisations

Repairs to new properties during the first 6 months after completion of a contract – known as the Defects Liability Period
