Who we are and what do we do? Introduction We sell good quality second hand furniture and household goods at low prices. Not everyone can afford to buy new household furnishings, some people are out of work, on benefits or income support. We are here to help people with affordable furnishings and to help them with a better quality of life. We are also happy to offer furnishings to anyone else looking for a bargain. Donating Furniture You can help us by donating any household items you no longer require. These can include beds, wall units, chairs, tables, three piece suites, working domestic appliances …. In fact anything needed to furnish a home (excluding bedding & clothing). Please note however, that beds and upholstered items such as three piece suites, must comply with current fire regulations, therefore it is vital these items carry an up-to-date fire certificate. What we charge There are no fixed prices on any furnishings. We try to help where we can by charging a low price to customers who are finding times hard. Prices will be slightly higher, yet still affordable, to customers more financially comfortable. Why differing prices? By selling to the general public as well as those in need, enables us to continue with our work as a charity, the funds raised are re-invested into the project. Opening Times We are open: Monday - Thursday 9.00am-5.00pm Friday 9.00am—4.30pm We collect all items free of charge at a time convenient to you. Delivery by arrangement. Recycling As well as helping people in need, recycling household goods has other benefits. If we re-use household items otherwise intended for land fill sites, we reduce the volume of refuse for disposal—this can only help the environment.
