Government Update - New package to support and enforce isolation

I have to self-isolate but I’m losing out on money. Is there any financial help from Government?

If you’ve been told to self-isolate by NHS Test and Trace and cannot work as a result, you may be able to claim a Test and Trace Support payment of £500. Contact your local council to find out how you can apply.

See the Government website for more information about Test and Trace Support payment.

Paying your rent/benefit support

You can continue to pay your rent in the normal way.  However please note we are unable to take rent payments on site as all our sites are closed to the public. We have adopted a policy of no evictions for arrears due to Covid-19 but please ensure you speak to us first. Whilst we can’t waive rent charges we want to assist anyone in difficulty and have put additional resources in to support tenants who may need to claim benefits.  We can help with all the most up to date DWP information on our website we can check entitlement to benefits, offer budgeting and basic debt advice and make referrals to foodbanks.  All contacts are at the bottom of this page with the main email address being moneymatters@impacthousing.org.uk

If you’re not always managing to keep your rent account up to date, please talk to your Arrears Officer. We know that money is tighter than ever following COVID-19 and we’ve seen more customers have trouble making rent payments, putting their homes at risk. We can really help customers avoid this by asking you to get in touch to find out more visit our "Lets Talk Rent" page here: https://www.impacthousing.org.uk/lets-talk-rent
