Impact's Winter Campaign 2020

Winter is coming

This year Impact Housing is running a “Winter is Coming” campaign to ensure our customers have all the information they need to be prepared for the winter months.

We will be providing lots of tips and advice on how to keep your home warm and safe, money saving ideas and support, flood advice and this year we are also aiming to contact our over 70’s customers with welfare calls to see if you need any help or advice.

Update 23rd October 2020 - Welfare Calls to over 70’s

As from 23rd October Impact Colleagues will be arranging calls to all our customers who are aged 70 and over to check they are prepared for Winter. The purpose of the call is to check their heating is in working order and there are no other issues within the home.

We will also be offering advice around keeping warm, accessing other services and checking if any assistance is needed to get through the winter months. If you are 70 or over you will be called by a member of the Impact team between now and 6th November during office hours 9am- 5pm Monday to Friday. As most staff are home working the call is likely to come from a mobile number.

Getting your home ready for winter

As we head into October we’re asking our customers to start to prepare for the winter ahead.

Before the colder months are upon us, test your heating system to make sure it is working correctly. We recommend you run the central heating for 20-30 minutes, as this will allow you to check that all radiators are heating up as expected. This means any problems can be resolved before the winter months, which should help to avoid any loss of heating or hot water when you need it most.

If you are experiencing any problems with the boiler or radiators please contact
