Impact Tenant and Residents Association (iTARA)

Aims of the Group

iTara was set up in September 2009 and we working in partnership with Impact to help improve

• the services we receive and the development of new ones
• the direction of the organisation
• the wider communities in which we all live
   

Impact provides all the staff support and resources to ensure that this can happen

 

So how are we achieving this

The Forum has its own Chair (Alan Markbride), Treasurer (Grania Nicholson) and Vice Chair (Trisha Wardley) both residents we meet monthly and in the last year we have;

• written and agreed our “Terms of Reference”
• widened membership to include a tenant from Carlisle
• reviewed some key policies including Impact’s Starter tenancy policy
• opened a bank account
• looked at how we involve more tenants in what we do to influence Impact

To name but a few of our achievements over the last 18 months.

So if you are interested come and join us. We meet once a month and we would like to hear from tenants and residents in Carlisle, Eden and South Lakes.
