Covid-19 Statement in relation to Data Protection Update 

In line with Government advice to protect staff and slow the spread of the Covid-19, Impact has implemented a number of changes to our services including closing our offices and furniture stores and the majority of staff are now working from home.  Impact is prioritising delivering priority services and supporting our customers, therefore, we will aim to respond to information rights requests within the required timescales but there may be understandable delays in responding during this period. 

Please note that the Information Commissioner has informed us that their office is now closed and they will not be collecting mail.  Should you need to contact the Information Commissioners office they can still be contacted  online or by calling 0303 123 1113.


Impact Housing is a trading name of The Riverside Group Ltd.    If you are applying for housing with Impact or have a tenancy with us we need to process information about you.  By processing information we mean to collect, store, use, share and protect information.  Impact has developed a privacy notice that explains more about how Impact processes your data, a copy of which can be found on the right hand side of this page. 

As well as providing social housing Impact also delivers a number of non-housing services.  These include, Impact Furniture Services, a furniture recycling and reuse project; The Oval, a community centre on the Salterbeck Estate in Workington; resource centres at Eden Rural Foyer and South Lakes Foyers.  Impact provides some community services including job clubs, IT skills, and room hire. We also deliver services on behalf of others; such as At Home in Eden and UK Online. Impact housing has developed a privacy notice which explains more about how Impact Housing processes your information if you are using any of these services. Information about CORE 
If your household has entered a new social housing tenancy we will have collected some information on behalf of and shared with the Ministry of Housing, Communities & Local Government for research and statistical purposes.   They have provided some information for existing and new tenants on how they process your personal information please see the document on the right hand side of the page.
