Coates Lane was established in 1990 and is a residential care home for people with enduring mental health problems.
It is situated in Whitehaven Town Centre giving easy access to all local amenities.
Accommodation
Accommodation is on two floors, on the ground floor there are four single bedrooms, kitchen and dining room. Upstairs there are five single bedrooms and the lounge is where there is TV and Video.
All bedrooms have wash hand basin. Each floor has a bathroom, a shower room and two toilets.
There is a utility room equipped with washing machine, tumble dryer and ironing facilities on each floor which residents are free to use. The office is situated on the ground floor. To the read of the building is a walled garden.
Staffing
Coates Lane is staffed 24 hours, between 11.15pm and 7.30am is a sleeping-in duty. Residents are encouraged to assist with meal preparation, menu planning and keeping their room tidy.
For residents wanting to move-on to more independent accommodation a personal plan will be drawn up and staff will work with them to develop their daily living skills
Visitors There are no restrictions to visiting hours but we would ask visitors to be considerate of others living at Coates Lane.
Coates Lane is inspected regularly by Cumbria County Council Registration and Inspection Unit.
