The access to Broadband at the Skills For Life Unit complements and enhances the great work already going on at Coronation Drive, while Broadband at the Oval Centre is used to create an Internet Cafe where residents and visitors to the Oval Centre can also surf the net while enjoying a coffee in the Cafe.
There are now two locations where residents can get free access to the Internet and eMail including free training:

Opening times are
Free training is provided on subjects from how to turn a computer on, to sending eMails, and using a Word Processor to write a letter or a CV. Courses available are online based Learn Direct courses and can be completed at the learners own pace either at home or in the centre.

Digital Film and Photography – Taking still pictures and making movies to upload to the community website

Increase residents computer skills to enable them in the digital world

Help out of work residents get back into work through training on CV and letter writing as well as with IT qualifications
