The accommodation is part of the Eden District Housing strategy and meets the need for more accommodation for 16 – 25 year olds.  The Foyer provides 15 self-contained flats for 16 – 25 year old single young people with a maximum tenancy of two years.  The flats each have their own lounge, kitchen, bedroom and shower room.  Each flat contains furniture including a fridge and cooker and a multimedia access point.

There is a communal lounge and a laundry facility is also available.  The flats are protected by CCTV and will have overnight security staff to support resident’s safety.

We also work in partnership to help residents find out about, and engage with other youth provisions linked to their social and recreational needs.

Referral Criteria – 50% of nominations are from Eden District Council via Eden Housing Association.  We will prioritise according to the following referral criteria

• Single 16 – 25 year olds

• Medium to low supported housing need

• Training need that the Foyer can meet
