When a vacancy occurs the decision on who is selected will be made by at least two people. This is to ensure fairness. We first consider whether to offer the vacancy to a nomination from the Local Authority, a Referral, or a direct application. Wherever possible applicants are visited at home to check their application, and you will be informed in writing within 14 days whether we think we are able to help.
