Letting a home with Impact
In the past if you wanted a home from us we asked you to complete an application from and go on a Waiting List. Once you were on our list we would contact you when a suitable property became available.
However, over the past 12 month we have had less than 80 properties to let, with over 600 people on our waiting list.
The reality is that we will not be able to house the majority of people who apply to us for housing.
Changes we are making
We are looking at the best way to let our properties in future. To decide this we carried out a review in March 2005.
What you need to know
We are closing our waiting lists and cancelling all current applications on the list.
From now on when we have a property to let we will place prominent advertisements in the local papers and on our website, with details about the property.

If you are interested in the property being advertised you need to contact our office and ask for an application form. we will let you know when the form needs to be returned to us.
We will then consider all applications received for the property advertised and we will let it to the applicant who has the greatest housing need. We will also consider best use of the property, so for example, if the property is family sized accommodation we may consider a family above a single person or couple.
References and Police Checks will only be requested when we plan to make an offer, or if there are several applicants with the same housing need.
