A NEW APPROACH TO VOLUNTEERING

Impact work in variety of ways offering a range of services to local communities.  Because of this variety we are ideally placed to offer a range of exciting and different  opportunities. Volunteering is not just about people offering their time for free but a dynamic and exciting process that mutually benefits the volunteer and the recipient of the service.

Using Impact's most valuable asset - 'our staff' we want to offer great opportunities to our local residents that could make a genuine difference to their lives.

Give and Gain offers a number of ways that local residents can give their time and skills and gain some real experience, new skills or new friends.  Impact staff also give their time and skills and can gain from volunteers some added skill into their time that can enable them to offer an additional service to local residents.

Part of this offer is:-

• Taster Day Experiences 

Taster days are an opportunity to get some real on the job experience of what a job/career involves without having to commit to long term volunteering.  We have a number of taster day opportunities in various teams,  to find what taster days we have click here

• Placements  

Placement opportunities are longer term work placement experiences. They give you the opportunity to increase your confidence and gain numerous transferable skills. To find out what placements we currently have available click here

• Help Wanted 

At times our services and our residents can ‘gain’ from people being able to ‘give’ some of their time, experience and skills. Some time we just need someone to offer a particular skill over a short period of time or maybe just an hour a week. We at times will try and actively recruit for these needs – click here to find out what skills we particular want at this time.
