Service User Forum

Aims of the Forum

The Service User Forum was set up in September 2009.  We working in partnership with Impact to help improve

• the services we receive and the development of new ones
• the direction of the organisation
• the wider communities in which we all live
   

Impact provides all the staff support and resources to ensure that this can happen.

So how are we achieving this

• the Forum has its own Chair (Joe McGuire)  and Vice Chair (Alan Markbridge) both residents
• we meet 6 times a year
• have written and agreed our “Terms of Reference”
• had a huge input to “The Offer”
• agreed a 6 year Cyclical maintenance programme  
• have opportunities to build on our skills ( a group of us have recently returned from a 3 day residential course)
• working through our “Hotspots”  have enabled the young people  on Salterbeck to create their own “Costa Coffee”
   

To name but a few of our achievements over the last 18 months.
