Impact Raise More Funds for Macmillan with a Race Evening
The latest event to raise funds for the Macmillan Business Challenge took place on Saturday 19th November 2011. A Race Evening was held at the Oval Centre, Salterbeck and a great time was had by all. This wasn’t the usual video race night, we had a race track in the middle of the room and on the roll of the dice, the horses moved down the track until we had a winner. On the last race, we even had real jockeys riding the horses as the photos show! As if that wasn’t enough excitement, we also had a tombola with all prizes donated from the staff and a raffle with some great prizes donated by local businesses. Some of the lucky prizewinners were:
- Tickets to the Premier Enclosure at Carlisle Races - Steve Holliday
- A Rug – Salterbeck Resident
- £25 M & S Voucher – Gill Brookes
- Workington Town RLFC Tickets – David King
- Spa Day at North Lakes Hotel - Mike Robinson
The event raised £558 which means that Impact has smashed the target of £1,000 with a total to date of £1,400. A huge thank you to everyone who has supported the challenge.
