Impact's Youth & Community work based in The Oval Centre, Salterbeck
We have Youth & Community workers on Salterbeck who provide a great service to the
local communities.
A small taster of what we do:
Little Luvs Group
Every Thursday a group of children and carers get together for play, song and story time. In summer this group visited Trotters Farm.
Feeling good day
These are days where local residents take part in food tasting, have taster sessions un alternative therapy, facials or manicures, watch demonstrations on either cooking or beauty, and get advice on stopping smoking.
Crack 'n' Do
This group of more mature residents meets every week and gets involved in numerous activities from bingo to alternative therapy, arts and crafts to cooking demo's still finding time for the occasional day out.
Holiday activities
During summer 124 young people took part in activities ranging from skate boarding, using decks, arts and crafts and litter picking. During October half-term we had 104 young people taking part in activities.
