Not many places offer a room with such a view. Visitors staying at the Old Brewery Residences in Carlisle can look out each morning at the City’s magnificent 900 year castle.
The Old Brewery is situated within a 5 minute walk of Carlisle City Centre and offers a choice of high quality self-catering flats which can accommodate up to six people. It is open to the public between July and mid September.
Each flat has a fully equipped kitchen and dining area as well as bathroom and shower room. Residents will have their own private bedroom equipped with wash-basin, wardrobe and desk/drawer unit. Bed linen and towels also provided. Each flat has a T.V. Some twin rooms are also available.
A number of flats have been specially designed with disabled access and visitors also have the use of on on-site laundry. A limited amount of private parking is available, which can be reserved in advance, as well as a secure bicycle store. All major credit cards accepted.
There is a large communal T.V. lounge area with Internet access available.
Sorry no pets allowed except guide dogs.

Carlisle has many attractions including the beautiful Cathedral, Tullie House Museum and Art Gallery as well as the castle. It has a great shopping centre with the lanes complex being complimented by a choice of prestigious shops and a Victorian coveredmarket.
Carlisle offers vibrant and varied nightlife including pubs, clubs, multiplex cinema, 10-pin bowling and a host of restaurants cafes and bistros. The Sands Centre nearby hosts a varied programme of top quality productions throughout the year ranging from theatre and ballet to classical, pop and rock music. It is also a popular sporting venue offering excellent facilities for a wide variety of sports.
Ideal Location
Good road links make the city and surrounding areas easily accessible to visitors. The castle is in close view of the Residences and the City Centre coach station and railway station is only 10 minute walk.
Enquiries & Bookings:
Bookings are normally made from Saturday to Saturday between July & September. Shorter stays can also be accommodated.
A 20% deposit is payable on booking and the balance is due one month prior to arrival. Charges are inclusive of bed linen, towels, heating & hot water.
