Generic Floating Support Service in Allerdale & Copeland

The aim of the support service

To provide housing related help, advice and support to people with a diverse range of needs. The support we provide involves working across a range of landlords to access housing, help sustain tenancies and improve quality of life.

Who the scheme is for

The scheme is available for anyone over 16yrs, including people aged 55 and over. We support single people, couples and /or families living in the Allerdale or Copeland Borough who have identified housing related support needs.

Help to access Housing
Social fund Applications
Personal Safety Issues
Accessing Legal Services
Access to other agencies/services e.g. Counselling
Help with Benefit entitlements
Tenancy Issues
Budgeting
Accessing services to help with Debt issues
Help to access Education & Training
Help to reduce isolation
Help to deal with Children's issues

This list is not conclusive as each client has individual support needs and each support package can be tailored around each individual need.

Staffing hours

The office is open

Monday - Thursday 9:00am - 5:00pm Friday 9:00 - 4:30pm

In certain circumstances it may be possible to make arrangements to have an appointment outside these hours.

There are a number of ways to access this service:

you can call into our main office and ask for a self-referral form
if you are involved with other services or agencies you can ask them to refer you to our service
