Eden Rural Foyer Residents' Lounge Open Day
On Tuesday 24th April 07 Impact celebrated the re-opening of the residents lounge at the Foyer.
Kendal College sponsored the refurbishment of the residents lounge in recognition of a newly established partnership between both providers. The young people came together to discuss and plan exactly how they would like their resident’s lounge to look and they came up with a wish list, which with great debate they managed to agree on eventually!!
They have recently successfully completed an in house Life Skills training programme based around independent living. Planned future development includes further accredited life skills training. Anne Isherwood and Claire Richardson from Kendal College came to open the lounge and presented the resident’s with a certificate for completing their life skills course. The Foyer will be a point of access for courses run by Kendal College.
The opening was hugely successful and it was an opportunity to celebrate both the achievements of the resident’s and for them to see their interior design skills come to life!
